Getting started

Install Conduit, write a minimal config, and prove DNS flows end to end.

Start with What Conduit is for if you are new to the project — deployment patterns and scope before install.

  1. Install and run — release tarballs and .deb packages, systemd, verify checksums
  2. Minimal configuration — smallest runnable config file (listeners, pools, defaults)
  3. First query — stand up a loopback upstream, start Conduit, and test with dig

After the first query succeeds, continue with Concepts for architecture, or Policy & routing to add rules and pools.
